Did anyone notice this smashed light?
A passer-by photographed the road that morning, when a barrier had been put up and debris and the smashed-up traffic lights were strewn across the pavement at the side of the pedestrian crossing.
Hertfordshire County Council maintenance teams have confirmed that the traffic light, in North Western Avenue by the North Watford roundabout, was fixed and operational by 4pm the same day. There were reports that a van had been"broken down" near to the debris at around the time of the crash.
