A baby boy died after being found 'unresponsive' on the sofa at a friend's house, an inquest hearing has been told. Tion-Jai Steven Williams was four months old at the time of the tragedy in December last year.
At the opening of an inquest at Rochdale Coroner's Court on Monday morning . Police Coroner's Officer Kathy Skelton said: "He was found responsive by his mother on the sofa at her friend's house where they had been staying overnight." She said CPR was commenced, an ambulance was called and the child was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital, however he 'sadly passed away.'

The cause of death that had been offered was 'unascertained in the context of an unsafe infant sleeping environment' Ms Skelton said.
