British Transport Police confirmed a woman was found and investigations suspended services between Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester Victoria until 8pm. A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to the railway tracks near Ashton-under-Lyne shortly before 4pm on Sunday 9 April."The woman’s family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.
