The minister fears violence towards their community 'will only get worse.'
Dr Karl Rutlidge says trans people are ‘in danger’ after the PM’s ‘transphobic’ remarks A church minister has warned that Rishi Sunak’s remarks about transgender people risk inciting hatred and ‘put trans people in greater danger’. During his conference speech in Manchester on Wednesday, the prime minister said: ‘We shouldn’t get bullied into believing that people can be any sex they want to be. They can’t, a man is a man and a woman is a woman. That’s just common sense.
’ Mr Rutlidge also spoke about Brianna Ghey, a 16-year-old trans girl who was found with fatal stab wounds in February, and said that further violence towards the community ‘will only get worse’.
