Chelsea have made an offer ‘in excess’ of £50m for Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella, according to The Athletic. You might think that would be enough but apparently Brighton want a) more money and b) a replacement. The latter might be easy to come by as Chelsea are separately negotiating with them about Levi Colwill, withPersonal terms have been agreed with Cucurella himself and ‘there is confidence at Stamford Bridge’ that the deal can be completed.
There is also persistent talk of a move for Wesley Fofana. Leicester insist he is not for sale but Chelsea want to test that resolve and the player himself is apparently keen to make the switch.
