The ETIAS pass will be needed to visit a number of popular European destinations
Brits heading over to many European countries for a holiday could still be turned away at borders with a new travel pass, according to reports. Spain and Greece are among the nations that will require a European Travel Information and Authorisation pass for travel in a bid to ramp up security.
A valid ETIAS permit entitles you to stay in Europe for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. You can leave and come back at any time, as long as you respect this time limit. The electronic document will cost 7 euros . The problem arises with passports that can be used to successfully apply for an ETIAS but then aren't accepted at border control. Since Brexit, your passport now needs to be valid for at least three months after the date you intend to leave the EU and must have been issued within the past 10 years.
