A mum who was last seen walking her dogs in the Borders has been hailed as a "wonderful friend" after a body was found in the search for her. Jacqueline Trimby, 55, was last seen on Chay Blyth Place in Hawick between 10 and 11am on Tuesday, August 1.
The tragic news has left her loved ones devastated and tributes have since flooded in on social media. Warren Hardie said: "Terribly sad news, a wonderful friend whom I will always be thankful to have known. Sincerest condolences to all her family. Rest in Peace, Jackie." Alison Paxton said: "RIP Jackie. Fond memories over the years of running [events] and our meet up in Oz. Thinking of Ryan and the kids. So sad."
