Police confirmed a body was recovered from the River North Esk in Angus around 1.30am on Monday
Devastated friends of Liam Buchan have paid tribute to the teen and said they hoped he was "watching above" after a body was recovered from the River North Esk. Liam, 15, had gotten into difficulty at the popular beauty spot near Edzell in Angus on Saturday, July 18.
Tamara-leigh Hornal said: "RIP, I love you so much and hope you're watching above. There’s nobody I'm gonna miss more than you. My boy, rest easy x" Maria Auchterlonie wrote: "Thoughts are with all Liam’s family, huge love and hugs to all. Heart is broken for everyone just so glad you can take him home, literally no words for you."
