Man Utd were interested in signing Harry Kane in the summer but the England captain moved to the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel said Harry Kane would be a target for every club wanting to sign a striker and that taking the England captain away from the Premier League was a "big thing".
United's decision not to try and sign Kane was met with surprise during the summer window, especially as Erik ten Hag was desperate to sign him. Instead, United signed Hojlund, who is a decade younger than Kane but has just one season in a major European league to his name. "It's a big thing, we took the skipper of England out of England. Anyone looking for a No.9 would've been happy to have Harry in the team," said Tuchel.
"There's no doubt and it's also good all of us speak English and speak English well. There are no problems in communication," he said. United have lost three of their first five league games for the first time in the Premier League era and arrive in Munich licking their wounds from a difficult start to the campaign, but Tuchel expects them to remain a dangerous opponent.
