Greek migration minister Notis Mitarachi said the deaths were a ‘tragedy’ but denied the claim the migrants were pushed back The International Organisation for Migration said it was ‘horrified’ by the deaths and would follow it up. Migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East often make the dangerous crossing from Turkey into Greece
