A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after two teenage girls were killed in a car crash.
Police and emergency services were called to Buxton Road West, Disley in Cheshire, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers received reports that there had been a serious crash between a Vauxhall Corsa and red Ford Fiesta., were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers from Cheshire Police at this time. Two other passengers travelling in the Corsa, a 21-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
