Crews remained at the scene this morning working to extinguish some remaining pockets of fire.
The blaze broke out in a commercial premises on Green Street after 11.30pm last night, before spreading to two neighbouring residential properties.
The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service mobilised six appliances to tackle the blaze, with crews working through the night to bring the inferno under control. They remain at the scene this morning working to extinguish some remaining pockets of fire.Police also closed off Green Street to road users to assist, Lanarkshire Live reports.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.
"Firefighters transferred two casualties to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and then worked to contain the fire.
