Hundreds of revellers descended on George Square for the opening ceremony of the UCI World Championship in Glasgow.
John Fraser, from Pollok, told Glasgow Live: "We saw that there was a free event so we decided to come down and have a look. Her dad, Doug, added: "We came here early to see the whole of Scotland. It’s spectacular to have the event here in Glasgow so we’re happy to be here."
