A new low for UFC legend Conor McGregor
Former dual-weight champion Conor McGregor has dropped out of the UFC’s lightweight top 15 ahead of his comeback fight.back in July 2021 but is now fully healed ahead of his highly anticipated return.
This is the first time McGregor has been unranked in any weight class since 2014 when he earned his place in the featherweight top 15 ahead of his UFC Dublin headliner with Diego Brandao.The MMA star continued to climb the 145lb ranks by beating Dustin Poirier and Chad Mendes before taking outAn inevitable jump to 155lbs allowed McGregor to win a historic second belt and a place atop the lightweight rankings which took a hit when he suffered defeats to Khabib Nurmagomedov and Poirier.
Mystic Mac is unlikely to be too upset about losing his spot in the 155lb ranks as he seems to have outgrown the division during his 18-month spell on the sidelines.
