Conor McGregor welcomes US president Joe Biden to Ireland
US President Joe Biden received a warm welcome from Ireland’s most famous athlete when he touched down in Belfast on Tuesday evening.
The 80-year-old is set to travel across the Island of Ireland over the next four days as he marks the 25Joe Biden arrived in Northern Ireland on Tuesday eveningBritish Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was at Belfast International Airport to greet Biden when he landed before the American leader travelled to his hotel in the city centre.
Biden will give a speech at Ulster University and meet with leaders of Stormont’s main political parties today before travelling to the Republic of Ireland for similar events. Just five minutes after Biden touched down in Ireland, former dual-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor took to social media to welcome him to the country.McGregor’s olive branch to Biden comes just days after another UFC star called for him to be removed from power while praising his predecessor, Donald Trump, as the ‘greatest president’ in history.at UFC 287 on Saturday night when he noticed Trump in the crowd and decided to make a political statement.
