The UK could see its first White Christmas in over a decade, experts predict
Following the record-breaking heat that the UK experienced over the summer, which saw temperatures reach over 40C, recent temperatures have remained unseasonably warm despite winter being on the horizon.
With the last widespread white Christmas occurring in 2010, experts at OLBG betting guide claim that there is a 55% chance that Brits will see more snow again this festive season. And they’re not alone. Coral has also cut its odds on having a white Christmas from 2/1 to 4/5. During an interview with Express.co.uk, Met Office spokesperson Stephen Dixon said: “The potential for some cooler weather increases from mid-November, with the coldest places most likely to be in the northwest.”
“From mid-November, conditions are likely to settle, potentially bringing colder, drier weather especially for northern and western areas,” the website reads.
