The setback for Russia, suggests there has been a change in momentum in Bakhmut, which Moscow has unsuccessfully been able to take control of for 10 months

It means both sides are now reporting the biggest Ukrainian gains in six months, but there is no evidence Kyiv’s long-planned counteroffensive in the country has officially begun.

“The loss of the Berkhivka reservoir – the loss of this territory they gave up – that’s 5 sq km, just today,” Prigozhin said. Russian-installed officials also announced today that two missiles hit an industrial complex in Luhansk, in Russian-occupied territory around 100 km behind the front.
