The port city has come under a barrage of attacks over the last week, as Kyiv continues to accuse Moscow of targeting food export facilities. Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised Ukraine would retaliate against Russian attacks on Odesa; An ammunition depot was hit as Russia intercepted 11 drones overnight, a Russian-installed official has said.
It was not immediately clear whether the ammunition depot was directly hit by a drone or if it was damaged by falling drone debris. It claimed two Ukrainian drones were"suppressed and crashed" during the early hours of Monday morning.Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the Telegram messaging app that two non-residential buildings were struck during the alleged attack.
The alleged attack comes after Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised a"retaliation" against Russia in response to the strike on a cathedral in Odesa that killed one person and injured more than 20 others.16:20:23Following the latest attack on Odesa, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for more air defence systems"for our entire territory, for all our cities and communities".
