Senior Ukrainian commanders say Russia could be planning a new attack on Kyiv early next year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with his military chiefs, amid reports that he is seeking to launch a new wave of attacks in Ukraine.Footage showed Mr Putin flanked by Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and Armed Forces chief Valeriy Gerasimov.
Kyiv's forces have made a series of major advances in recent months, including retaking Kherson - the only major city captured by Russian forces so far. Air Force General Sergei Surovikin - who was appointed as Russia's commander in Ukraine in October - was also present at the meeting, photos released by state media showed.There had been reports that Armed Forces chief Valeriy Gerasimov had been dismissed
