Ukrainians have continued with Orthodox Christmas celebrations despite the threat of strikes, as Russia failed to honour an offered ceasefire 🔴 mollyblackall

Despite Russia’s pledge, Ukrainian authorities say a series of strikes have been launched in at least six regions during the alleged ceasefire, according to Sky News. Three people have reportedly been killed since the ceasefire began and a further 14 injured. The attacks have reportedly taken place in the eastern Donetsk region, and the cities of Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia. A CNN reporter in Kyiv reported air raid sirens sounding during a Christmas Eve service.

But the threat of strikes did not deter many Ukrainians wishing to celebrate, with photographs showing packed church services and people lighting candles.returning to Kyiv and determined to lead a normal Christmas.
