Improvements to the footbridge at the beauty spot will “begin imminently”, while repairs to the pond edge have been earmarked to start at the end of the month.
SNP councillor Stephen Burns, who represents the Paisley Southwest ward, believes the works will make a “big difference” at the park. “The footbridge has suffered from a bit of wear and tear, so I’m glad to see that’s a priority for the“Officers have worked up the proposals and the improvements are about to get underway.“It’s an important part of the park for people and this will make a big difference. It will bring a real boost to the area.“By getting this done, it will help spruce it up. You can get a lot of rubbish around the side of the pond, so hopefully it will help with that as well.
