It's 2-0 to the four times champs as they head into the locker room. The first goal was great movement and passing from Lindsey Horan, Alex Morgan and Sophia Smith while the second came to an opportunistic striker from Smith.
Vietnam have looked to close down the gaps but when Sophia Smith is in this kind of mood, she's hard to stop. They've managed to pull Trinity Rodman out of the game for the most part but were undone when she took on her marker and earned the USWNT a penalty. Apart from that moment, Rodman hasn't been as influential as Smith on the other side. If she gets into the game more, Vietnam will be in for a torrid afternoon.
