New Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur has revealed his thoughts on Ferrari’s pre-season testing performance. Delivering his verdict, he now heads into his first season managing the Scuderia.Vasseur completed his first major milestone as Ferrari Team Principal this week, overseeing the Scuderia’s pre-season testing programme. Ferrari’s performances were strong, with straight-line speed once again proving to be an area of strength for the team.on C4 tyres became an intriguing aspect of testing.

Confirming Ferrari’s approach he said: “It has been three intense days of work for everyone in the team. We have scanned a number of items on the car and ticked many of the boxes of our programme, without worrying about lap times or what the others have been doing, simply focusing on ourselves”.Vasseur confirmed the Scuderia’s main target was high mileage. Ferrari’s reliability proved to be another strength, with no reliability issues during the test.

On the all-important question of performance, Vasseur simply stated “it’s too early to say anything”. However, he added the mood in the team was “perfect”:
