Rev Dr Leatherbarrow will be tried at Liverpool Crown Court in November
Andrew James Howard Leatherbarrow, 55, was charged with making an indecent photograph of a child, attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to look at sexual activity and two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. Rev Dr Leatherbarrow was charged in February and was bailed conditionally to appear for trial at Liverpool Crown Court on November 20.
Earlier this year, the ECHO reported that Rev Dr Leatherbarrow, 55, had been suspended from his post as vicar at All Saints Church Stoneycroft while a disciplinary investigation takes place. Rev Dr Leatherbarrow, of Saints Close, Old Swan, previously served as assistant curate at St Ann's Parish Church in Rainhill.
