Some bad news - but also some good news
Staff at one of Victoria Centre's womenswear shops have been serving its final customers. Tuesday was the last day of trading for Monsoon, which sold colourful and bohemian inspired fashions for women and children in the shopping centre for nearly 20 years.
Monsoon was bought out of administration in June 2020 by founder Peter Simon in a pre-pack deal and has more than 150 stores in the UK. It's not all bad news for shoppers, however, as a new standalone Accessorize shop is set to open elsewhere in the shopping centre. It will be located right by the Upper Parliament Street entrance, where until recently confectionary shop Treat Kitchen was based.
