Adam Leadbitter lashed out in a shocking fit of rage
A violent thug flew into a fit of rage on New Year's Eve, headbutting his partner and punching her in the stomach, with his victim terrified he wasn't going to stop.
The woman said Leadbitter was still not feeling 100 per cent. But soon after she said this, Leadbitter flew into a rage. Lisa Worsley, prosecuting, told the court grabbed the woman and accused her of "playing with his head". He followed her to the spare bedroom and headbutted her in the face."She tasted blood immediately", Ms Worsley said. "He started punching her to her stomach. She was terrified he was not going to stop.
The following day the woman returned home and explained her injuries to her daughter. Four days after the attack on New Year's Eve, she attended the Urgent Care unit in Kendal and underwent a CT scan two days later. Doctors had been concerned she may have a bleed behind her eyes, as she was suffering blurred vision, but it was later confirmed to be concussion.
She said she was prescribed medication to help her sleep and had started self loathing since the attack. Leadbitter, of Bleasdale Avenue, Thornton Cleveleys, pleaded guilty to ABH and appeared at Preston Crown Court to be sentenced on Thursday .
