Having received applications from countless talented artists and designers within the creative community, the votes are now in, and Printworks has chosen five incredible artists that have been shortlisted to win the Printworks Big Art commission.
Find out more about the artists below, and make sure to cast your vote now, before December 21, 2022. Mike said: "We're really interested in big set builds and physical installations. We started out working a lot with street art and murals, and then we graduated a bit into bigger installations. She said: "I'll produce illustrations based on a particular place, say and then I will take details from the illustrations and the environment and then create these very bespoke repeat patterns that are kind of rooted in the locality.
Alex said: "Because the banner is going to be on a corner, the idea is to have the perspective line straight down the middle and have two vanishing points on either side, so if you look at the piece dead on the Apex of the corner, you can see the image's perspective shooting off in either direction."
"My piece is a three-stage experience. The first stage is people will see the balloons and relate that to escapism, the second stage is people will read the phrases and work out what things are saying. The third stage of the experience is - if you get your phone out and point it towards the giant banner, it will come to life on your screen."
