🔎 A majority of voters trust Labour more than the Tories to tackle the cost of living crisis, new polling suggests ➡️
exclusively shared with i, shows that 58 per cent of people said Labour were more trusted to help with the cost of living woes, compared to just 42 per cent who named the Tories.
The figures will cause concern for Downing Street, which has allocated more than £26bn in spending to protect households from the brunt of the squeeze on spending over the past financial year. This compared with 37 per cent of people who believed the current record inflation was caused by other elements, such as the war in Ukraine and the after effects of the pandemic.
