Shoppers shouldn't be caught off-guard by a fire drill in the Trafford Centre today
The shopping centre's operations team will conduct a planned fire drill which may catch unprepared shoppers off-guard. According to the Centre's team, the fire drill will take place at 10.05am this morning .
It will be part of a regular test to ensure that the Trafford Centre's emergency processes are running efficiently. The drill will last for up to 45 minutes, after which normal shopping services will continue. It has also been confirmed that the drill will include an evacuation - if you are in the Centre at the time of the drill, you will be asked by staff to make your way to the nearest emergency exit and can return to your normal shopping once the drill is completed.
If you plan on visiting the Trafford Centre this morning and don't want to deal with the fire drill, it may be a good idea to visit after 10.50am.
