PlayStation Plus subscribers could soon pay close to £120 to keep using the service
The company announced that PlayStation Plus 12-month subscription plans will increase from September 6 during its Plus Monthly Games update. Fortunately, if you already have an ongoing 12-month subscription, you won't be charged any extra until a renewal is made on or after November 6.
However, if you make any changes to your subscription after September 6, such as upgrading your tier, you will be hit by the new prices. The following prices will be implemented for each PlayStation Plus tier: Signifying the reasons behind the price increase, Sony said in its blog: "This price adjustment will enable us to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service. " It added that subscribers affected by the changes will receive an email ahead of time while more details will soon be available via its website.
It's not just the UK being hit by the price increases, Sony confirmed that gamers in the United States, the rest of Europe, and Japan will be affected.
