In a farewell note that left the nation ugly crying, lovely Jürgen wrote: 'Who wants to fly to the moon if you can be on Bake Off? It was such a fantastic ride. I have made 11 new friends and met the most amazing crew. Preparing all the recipes gave me confidence to experiment with flavours in sweet baking, to an extent I’ve never done before.'
UGH. Farewell to the man who the television viewing public fell in love with for his cakes, his beautiful soul and well, basically everything about him. He wrote on his Instagram account : 'Thank you so much for all your support! Sad as it is to leave the tent at this point I am immensely proud on what I have achieved TOGETHER with all the other bakers! We helped each other where we could, and just had the best time ever! Congratulations to #starbaker @crystellepereira and to @thelatebloomeruk and @giuseppecooks for being in the final.
