Watford's head coach admits that the triple substitution did not have the desired effect in their match against Millwall. The team lost their rhythm and grip on the game, resulting in a 2-1 defeat.

Having been the better side for 60 minutes, Watford then lost their way against Millwall and while head coach Valerien Ismael admitted his triple substitution did not have the desired effect, he didn’t think it was the sole reason.

On the hour-mark Watford made three changes, and seemed to lose their rhythm – and they certainly lost their grip on the game. “I think for 10 or 15 minutes we were too low in our positioning, so I think it was the combination of both.
