The decision was taken after the Met Office put out their extreme heat warning
A red weather warning is in place for the area for the rest of today, with the Met Office warning of a risk to life and wider infrastructure.
In a post put on Facebook yesterday, this decision was extended to today's teaching, with headteacher Ms Tai citing temperatures remaining at"dangerous levels". All students will be required to return to school tomorrow, which is the schools prize giving day, in uniform but Ms Tai added that blazers and jumpers can be left at home.
