THE families of two teenagers who died after attending a rave at Glasgow's SWG3 have released statements.

We previously reported two 18-year-olds, who did not know each other, had died after attending the event headlined by DJ Ben Hemsley at the venue's Galvanizers Yard on Saturday, August 12.DJ speaks of 'sadness' as two teens die after attending his SWG3 gigHe was taken to University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

In a statement issued on behalf of Marcus' family, they said it is a"very hard time" for their family and everyone who knew him. "On Sunday morning after my performance at SWG3's Galvanizers Yard in Glasgow, I heard the news that two people had sadly passed away."A full police investigation is currently underway and I ask that you please respect the privacy of the families involved whilst the police continue to search for answers.

"However, enquiries remain ongoing and although we are investigating both deaths as drug-related at this time, there is no evidence to suggest there is a connection between these deaths.
