They made it home in time for a cuppa before bed
A couple decided they'd rather fly to spend 10 hours in Dublin than pay for 'scandalous' day tickets to London. Keith McCormack, 57, and his wife Jill, went on a "mad" trip to the Irish city after seeing how expensive it was to travel from their home in Liverpool to London.
“It was ridiculous. The trains are scandalous. It was a £36 return for Dublin and a half an hour flight. It was a no brainer.” “We were looking for a weekend away. But London was ridiculously expensive. Dublin flights were cheap. It sounds a bit mad but we went for it.”
