Umbrellas at the ready!
A brief burst of heavy rain is set to put a dampener on the weekend in Nottingham as downpours spread across the UK. The unsettled conditions are also set to bring gusty winds and even snow to parts of the country.
Across the rest of the nation, it will be a similar picture as heavy rain takes the lead - especially on Saturday morning. A Met Office spokesperson said: "Persistent and occasionally heavy rain, with low cloud clearing eastwards through the morning."Sunshine and some heavy showers through the afternoon. Windy throughout, especially over hills and along coasts. Maximum temperature 11C." There's likely to be more downpours on Sunday as the unsettled conditions linger.
BBC weather forecaster Darren Bett said: "We’ve got this strong and blustery wind, that’s going to feed in some sunshine but we are also going to find quite a few showers, some of those are going to be heavy and it is just about cold enough for a little bit of snow over the tops of the mountains."
