People have reminisced over Wendy's in Leeds from the 80s and 90s
Wendy's has confirmed its stance on opening a store in Leeds city centre following rumours of it making a long-awaited return to the city. A photo circulating on Facebook group Leedsplace on Tuesday urged people to question if a Wendy's could be set to open.
Retro diner chain Wendy's has made a comeback to British high streets for the first time in 21 years in 2021. The American-owned burger chain opened three restaurants - including one in Sheffield. Wendy's first came to the UK in the 1980s and 1990s, but decided to close all their UK stores in 1999.
