Westminster Abbey will reportedly close its doors to the public in April to prepare for King Charles' Coronation in May 👑
Monarchs have been crowned at Westminster Abbey since 1066, when the Coronation of William the Conqueror took place.Elsewhere, the BBC recently confirmedcan both be screened on May 6 and 7 without needing to fork out for an annual licence.The BBC stressed the dispensation is granted in ‘exceptional circumstances’, with the event needing to be of ‘national importance’ and screened in a community setting.
Examples cited by TV licensing include churches, town halls, cinemas and concert and performing arts venues.
