The title game has increased in viewership every year since 2018 — an incredible achievement given cord-cutting and COVID-era declines. ESPN made a serious investment in the sport to add premier television windows and increased promotion. Last year’s final between South Carolina andaveraged 4.85 million viewers across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU, the most-watched title game since UConn-Tennessee in 2004.
