Do you live in Beeston? How do you think the high street could be improved there?
Shoppers in Beeston have had their say on what they would like to see replace the old O2 shop. The store in High Road closed on October 31.
Before it was O2, the building was a florist. Now O2 signage has been taken away, a sign for the old 'Georgelle's Florist' can be seen.Donna Lindon, 54, has lived in Beeston all her life. Currently working as a community nurse, Donna said: “I wasn’t surprised when O2 closed down - many places seem to be shutting left, right and centre.
“I think a local boutique or a shoe shop could go down well but no more barbers, as lovely as most of them are around here. We need no more in Beeston.” Nadia Oliver, 34, is currently a full-time mum from Beeston. Nadia doesn’t mind what would replace the old O2 shop.
