The Queen's state funeral will take place next Monday
Her coffin has been resting in St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh, since Monday afternoon and thousands of people flocked to the city to pay their respects before she is transported back down to London.
Later on Tuesday afternoon, The Queen will be moved from the cathedral to Edinburgh Airport where she will then be flown down to London and a state hearse will take her to Westminster Hall where she will lie in state for four full days.Her funeral takes place on Monday, September 19 and The Queen will be buried in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

St George's Chapel has been at the heart of many royal ceremonies with it being chosen to be the burial place for the Royal Family in the 1800's. The chapel has a number of separate burial places inside and the Queen will be placed in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.Monday will be a national day of mourning and a public holiday. Glasgow City Council has confirmed that schools and nurseries will close, along with non-essential businesses.
