There is no strict rule dictating whether or not children are allowed to be present at the coronation of a sovereign. The latehad only recently become a mother to Prince Charles and Princess Anne at the time of her coronation back in 1953. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are all expected to take part in the King’s coronation procession from Westminster Abbey back to Buckingham Palace. It was initially reported that only Prince George, nine, would play a "significant" role on the day, but it has since been confirmed that all three of the Prince and Princess of Wales' children will take part in the proceedings.
His parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, are understood to have thought long and hard about whether to allow him to take on an official role, owing to his tender years.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children are unlikey to attend the coronation eventsEven if the couple do decide to fly to the UK with their children, Prince Archie, three, and one-year-old Princess Lilibet, it's unlikely that their little ones will be involved in the coronation events.
