Royal Mail staff will join train workers and driving examiners on strike today as the wave of industrial action across the country this month begins to intensify.

Members of Prospect at Rail for London Infrastructure rejected a 4% pay offer and 94% voted for strike action.Midwives and maternity support workers in Wales have voted by more than 9-1 to take industrial action over pay. Members of the Public and Commercial Services union will be followed by those working for the National Highways, the Border Force and a number of offices in the Department for Work and Pensions in the coming weeks.
Unite members working for Highlands and Islands Airports will strike, affecting 11 small hubs in Scotland.RPA staff resume their walkout.The DVSA strike continues in the North West, Yorkshire and Humber and North Wales.Unison workers at the Environment Agency refuse to provide ‘on call’ cover for unexpected incidents.Ambulance workers and other NHS staff will stage a strike in England co-ordinated by the GMB, Unison and Unite.
