Whoopi Goldberg has revealed her desire to do the ultimate talk show crossover, by bringing Loose Women to the US and The View to the UK.
For the past 16 years, the Sister Act star has been one of the co-hosts of The View, a programme first created by late broadcast legendLoose Women on ITV has been going for a similar amount of time, having launched in 1999 with a similar format of a female-led panel of presenters who discuss the latest headlines in the news and current affairs., 42, who later revealed that she ‘broke down in tears’ following their conversation, because she holds The Color Purple actor in such high regard.
‘Loose Women was, I think, one of the first shows I did and I had such a good time. When I started doing The View, I thought you know, there’s a show over in London that does what we do,’ Whoopi recalled.
