Melody Johnson, 39, from Arizona, was arrested last month after her US Air Force husband submitted video to police allegedly showing her pouring bleach into his coffee machine
He tested his tap water with chemical testing strips, the results of which came back normal. However, when he tested the water in his coffee pot it showed “high levels of chlorine”, according to the court documents.He continued pretending to drink the coffee until the family moved back to the US at the end of June. He waited because did not want to file a report in Germany, according to NBC News.
He reported his wife to the police the following day, only to be told that it was unclear what his wife was pouring into the pot. He returned to the police after collecting several videos allegedly showing Ms Johnson “take bleach, pour it into a container and then walk over and pour it into the coffee maker”.
