The collaboration will see two of the North West's most beloved nightclubs churning out tunes under the same roof.
Ravers will be excited to discover that two legends of the northern nightlife scene will be holding an event next month in Liverpool .
The Wigan Pier nightspot was extremely popular, predominantly featuring music of the 'Scouse House/Bounce' genre. Opening in the late 80s, and remaining a huge spot for dance music enthusiasts, it sadly closed in 2011. However, the club's alumni continue to put on events in Wigan Pier's name and many still have fond memories of its heyday.
The 051 closed in 2005 but was brought back to life earlier this year by Lee Butler and his business partner Steve Cocky, delighting their almost fanatical fans. "Although we were both two colossal clubs at the time, there wasn't any need for rivalry, as we each had our own loyal fan bases. When I first went to the 051 it was strange seeing everyone smartly dressed because in Wigan there was no dress code, but we all danced to the same music."
