Winter Wonderland is back - bigger and better than ever. An estimated one million people are expected to pour into Nottingham for a cup of festive cheer between now and the end of the year.
, which some Nottinghamshire Live readers have branded "a rip-off". The big wheel costs £8 for an adult, 12 to 17-year-olds, students and OAPs £7, and children under 12 £6. Prices for the ice rink range from £11.95 for an adult super off peak to £16.45 at peak times, right up to £90 for the AAA experience with food and drink, admission to the Ice Bar, fast track for the observation wheel and fairground rides for the children.
"It's expensive but I know behind that we have to be expensive because of what we have to pay out. It's not that we put this event on and make insane profits.
