A new dessert shop in Moreton has been a big hit so far among locals, in particular for its range of bubble tea.
Dough Hut also offers a range of milkshakes, slushes, ice cream, brownies, cookies, cakes, sweets, a chocolate fountain and more. The big talking point has been the bubble teas though, with locals incredibly excited to get their hands on one of the fruit drinks.Bubble tea has exploded in popularity of late, with reports of up to one hour queues in the summer among some city outlets.
Kerry Evrem, co-owner, said: "My uncle Marc originally wanted to turn the old taxi office into a kebab shop but I convinced him to open a bubble tea and dessert shop instead. He didn't know what bubble tea was but now he's pleased I convinced him as they have been selling like crazy. Strawberry has been the most popular flavour so far and one girl comes in every day — we've even had a lady in her 70s who now gets it all the time.
