A woman has been seriously injured after a car being chased by police hit her as it was driven into a funfair.
She was struck before the Ford Focus crashed into a trampoline bungee at 08:30 BST on Saturday in Morris Street in Hindley, Wigan. Funfair owner Arthur Silcock said it was "crazy" and he was "gobsmacked" at the "one in a million" crash.They were held on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving and released on bail.Funfair worker Sharon Sargent said: "The woman couldn't get out of the way of the car as she was on crutches."Some lads managed to jump down and stop it with the handbrake as the two inside the car had run off.
