Police and negotiators tried to engage with the gunman for an hour before the shooting
A woman has died after being taken hostage by a gunman. Officers were called to a house in Dartford, England, at around 12.40 pm on Saturday, May 6, following reports of a disturbance.
The incident is now being treated as a murder investigation. It is believed that the male is a suspect. "Officers, along with a trained police negotiator, attended and attempted to engage with a man inside the address. Firearms officers also attended and whilst they were at the scene, a 36-year-old woman suffered injuries believed to have been caused by a handgun and she was taken to a London hospital.
